About me

The last time I was studying at university my headphones connected me to a sony discman and my least favourite assignment was a vax program made up of pencil marks on a card. Yes, I feel like a dinosaur in this digital world.

This blog is documenting my personal adventure of studying, reading, and hopefully making fewer and fewer mistakes as I learn about digital environments. I’m relying on an innate sense of adventure to carry me through. That, and the tenacity I’ve developed over the years of working in IT amongst some exceptionally talented technical people with limited tolerance of a manager worrying about budgets and deadlines.

If you’d like to read more, I have an e-book targeted at organisations doing their own recruitment who would like to execute against their HR strategy using social media: Social Networking in Recruitment. It’s short, easily digested and gives concrete steps to make more of social networks for business purposes.
